Jane by Cary Judd
I wrote a story a couple of weeks ago and got it into competition, which was nice and decided that this was a good way to keep busy and to keep the juices flowing.
I enjoy writing and have written a few short films, most of which have been produced. Of course I write them only to give myself parts to play, since acting is and always will be my first love. Like all actors, it’s something you can’t not do…you have to act, if that’s the career you’ve chosen. You don’t go into acting to be famous or make a ton of money. Sadly that’s the mistake that so many young would be performers make, when they enter talent competitions like The Voice, Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor. Of course most of these are for musical talent, but the appeal is the same. Be discovered – get rich and be famous. Paul McCartney talks about it in his interesting documentary “McCartney 3,2,1” currently being streamed. So many young people try to get into the business without first putting in the work, the groundwork, the training, the experience…the plain old hard graft. Those of us, who are in the business and stayed there, have done it, keep doing it and it’s what you need to stay the course and have a proper career.

With Cary in “Last Embrace“
I recorded the story “Finding the Light” and here it is, accompanied by music composed by Cary Judd. Cary and I have worked together on a couple of projects and we work well together, largely because we both have the ability, the experience and the love for what we are doing. We made “Last Embrace” last year and Cary worked camera on the short “About Andy“.
I have written a full length screenplay of the short “About Andy” and hopefully we will be making it later this year or early next. It’s in the works!
The other short, of which I am rather fond is “Cougar“, which you can see on Discover.film

One of the stories from “New Chilling Tales- the Anthology” starring Darren Burrows
So writing keeps me busy and I enjoy it. It’s not easy and there are many better than I, but it’s productive and fun. Other writers – much better than I am, wrote the classic Gothic Horror short stories, which comprise our production “New Chilling Tales -the Anthology” currently on Amazon Prime, Tubi and other platforms. All for now friends, stay well, stay productive, stay cool and above all – be happy in this great journey of ours.
