Hope wins always
Hope and a positive attitude always win. Things are getting better, the vaccines are working, the pandemic retreating at least for now and spring is coming.

Yesterday I went for a long, lovely walk in Hyde Park in London. People were out enjoying the coming of Spring and the hope of an end to the virus, devastating our lives.

As always our greatest hope is our children and grandchildren and the hope that they will improve the world and leave behind much of the greed and excesses, that have driven our lives in recent years. We are already seeing the blossoming of that with the young people like Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg Thank goodness for them. Young people leading the way. Of course there are older people are doing their bit, but this is about the young – their spirit and our hope.

Drawing by Brynn (Jane’s granddaughter)
Achievements and talent abound, great and small. Watching people stretch themselves and push themselves is exciting, sexy and thrilling. I find it one of the most attractive characteristics of humanity. I was astonished and delighted to see a picture, drawn by my talented granddaughter , Brynnli Bullen. She is already gifted academically. but this extension of her talents is a delight. It is a joy to know that she has not been crushed by this year’s awful events, ruining what should have been one of the most significant and pleasurable years of her adolescent journey. Children are amazing in their ability to adapt and keep their spirit in the face of great odds. Let us support and cherish them always.
Till next time….stay safe, keep walking and enjoy the gifts and simple beauties of our world.
