Been relaxing a bit after Macbeth, missing doing it and still find myself saying lines every now again. It always takes time to come down from working up to a performance like that, slow the adrenalin and deal with the reality of “life after”!
However I am lucky with great friends and this last week as been varied and entertaining. I spent a long weekend in Suffolk with my closest friend Jenni at her house there, what a beautiful county it is with historic towns and buildings, some dating back to the 16th century and a visit to the seaside, Southwold, cold but lovely in the winter sunshine. The visit also involved wonderful log fires, crossword puzzles and great food, in and out!
Yesterday I took myself to the Natural History Museum, to remind myself that the humans are not the only occupiers of this planet and that we need to look after it for all the other residents. The dinosaur exhibition is terrific and it is a bit alarming to
remember that they were wiped out in a very short space of time, possibly by extreme climate change….please note ….all you disbelievers of our current situation. Then I went a screening of LION a wonderful and very moving film, beautifully acted and photographed….I urge you to see it.
Finally today I went a visited my friend and Sanna former co-worker at Merrow Language Recruitment, which I owned and ran until 2006. Sanna kept me on the straight and narrow path of sanity when things became overwhelming and I would panic and ‘overthink’ everything. She is a lovely Swedish lady, now with two gorgeous little girls. Her partner Jason Mcdonald owns a Company Argon which does and has
done all the pre-visualization work on some great films, including one of my favourites: THE MARTIAN. I watched some of his footage today and it is impressive and exciting. Jason is talented and successful. And he just re-enforces my view that those of us who love film and are really passionate about it and focused on the actual work, are the best and often the most modest about their work and certainly those people I want only to work with!

It’s always delightful to hear how you are doing, and “what” you are doing.
Your commitment and your dedication to your Profession is admirable.
Each and every Shakespeare works was replete with moral challanges, and
heart-felt decisions that seemed to affect a principle player more than the effects of those
he or she was concerned with. I like Reading Shakespeare-
