Halloween or All Hallows Eve..as it was known originally, developed from Pagan and Christian Festivals honouring the dead (in case you’re interested). Anyway, it is the time for goblins and ghosts and children all dressed up, knocking on doors for candy handouts. There is a great piece about Halloween and your pets on Jen Reviews. https://yourdogadvisor.com/celebrate-halloween-with-dog/.
For me, it is looking forward to a trip to Wales, to film THE HAUNTING OF MARGAM CASTLE, a real ghostly horror story, based on true events. I am delighted to be working for hire again. Much as I enjoy making my own films, it feels good for someone to take on the load of making the film and all I have to do is get into costume, turn up on set and say my lines. Did that in a favourite role – “Carmilla” the Vampire pictured here, some years back!
We had a cast get together on Monday, to meet and say “hello” to the Director Andrew Jones, his wife Sharron and the rest of the very good cast. This includes the redoubtable Derrren Nesbitt, the lovely Caroline Munro, dear Vernon Dobtcheff (with whom I worked in CARMILLA and George Orwells’s “1984”)and young Jason Farries and Garrick Hagon, whom I had not met before. Looking forward to working with them all. These actors are all represented by Thomas Bowington, who is doing a brilliant job of building his relatively new management company …his energy and good will are boundless and I am delighted to have him looking after me in the UK. We have this terrific cast plus other young actors in the ensemble, not yet met, a fine Director and an amazing location…travel there next week to start.
